Ideas for your code

How to make a contact card QR code

  1. Fill in your name and the details you want to share. Skip optional fields you don't need: fewer fields make a simpler code.

  2. Write phone numbers with the country code (+44, +49…) so they work for people abroad.

  3. Download SVG for the print shop, PNG for email signatures and slides.

  4. Scan it and tap “Add contact” to check every detail lands in the right field.

Tips

  • On a business card, make it at least 2 × 2 cm. A full contact card is a lot of data, so 2.5 cm is safer.
  • Put it on the back of the card with a short line like “Scan to save my contact”.
  • It also works well on conference badges, CVs, email signatures and trade fair stands.

Common mistakes

  • Filling in every field. Each extra line makes the pattern denser and harder to scan from a small card.
  • Adding a big logo. With this much data, leave the logo off or keep it very small.
  • Keeping old cards after your number or job changes. The printed code still holds the old details.

Why our codes never stop working

Many QR sites make dynamic codes. They point to the site's own short link, which then forwards to you. When the free trial ends, the link is switched off and every printed code stops working.

QRink makes static codes. Your link, Wi-Fi password or contact details are written directly into the pattern. There is no middleman, no account and no expiry date. A static code printed today will still scan in twenty years.

Questions

Is it really free?

Yes. There is no trial, no watermark and no limit on how many codes you make. The site is paid for by ads.

Do the QR codes expire?

No. They are static codes, so the content lives in the image itself. They work as long as the image can be scanned.

Can I use the codes commercially?

Yes. Print them on menus, flyers, packaging, business cards or signs. You don't need to credit us.

Can I change where a code points after printing?

No. A static code can't be edited after it is made. If the content changes, create a new code. Tip: point the code to a page on your own website that you can update.

Which format should I download?

PNG works everywhere on screens and in documents. SVG stays sharp at any size, so use it for print, signs and design programs.

Why doesn't my code scan?

The usual causes are low contrast, a light code on a dark background, a logo that is too large, or printing it too small. Keep it at least 2 × 2 cm and test it before printing.
